Global Fruit Point was founded in 2006 on the fringes of the traditional fruit-growing region known as the Altes Land. What began with four employees has now grown into a team of over 30 colleagues.
We manage all import and sales activities from our headquarters in Buxtehude near Hamburg. This is also where quality management, finance and administration are based. In close coordination with our colleagues in Rotterdam, who are responsible for storage and quality control, we ensure smooth processes along the entire supply chain.
With a Europe-wide network, we reliably supply fresh fruit and vegetables to food retailers and wholesalers.

Quality Assurance in Rotterdam
With our subsidiary Global Fruit Point Services B.V., we are located directly in Europe’s leading import port: Rotterdam. There we operate our own service and inspection center – a central component of our quality assurance system.
Our team in Rotterdam is responsible for the complete quality control of all incoming goods in the Benelux region.
As soon as the vessels arrive, our team checks the goods for freshness, ripeness, and integrity – including the monitoring of an uninterrupted cold chain. We are supported in this by specialists from HDG Services B.V., who also work for us in the port of Hamburg. All incoming goods reports are prepared by HDG so that exporters receive neutral and official documentation of the quality of their fruit. In addition, we regularly have samples analyzed by QS-certified food laboratories.
Together with our experienced local logistics partner, we dispose of modern cold storage facilities with a storage capacity of up to 7,000 pallet spaces. We offer a wide range of packaging options to suit customer requirements. Before our fruit is released for onward transport, it undergoes a final quality check – only then is it delivered to our customers.

Acting sustainably is Global Fruit Point’s guiding principle also with regard to its employees. This not only secures the future of our company, but above all offers young people the opportunity to grow in their careers. In Buxtehude, we train wholesale and foreign trade professionals – a career with international flair, a lot of responsibility and direct contact with people from all over the world.
The Chamber of Industry and Commerce asked young people what factors make an apprenticeship company attractive. The results:
