Our attitude in a global world
We support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
Responsibility along the supply chain
Global Fruit Point actively supports the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – together with our producers. The aim is sustainable procurement that benefits everyone involved in the supply chain – from the producer to the end consumer.
Sustainability requires partnership
Long-term relationships require responsible behaviour, especially on the part of producers. This includes the careful use of natural resources such as water, soil and pollinators, as well as the development of stable, motivated teams. Training, fair wages and additional benefits (known as in-kind benefits) create the basis for sustainable structures, both for permanent employees and for seasonal harvest workers who are already familiar with the processes.
Many of our partner farms are owner-managed family businesses that think long-term and want to actively shape sustainable growth – not least to offer prospects for future generations. The rural communities surrounding the farms also benefit from local value creation, social projects and the preservation of established structures.
Security and stability for trade
This type of cooperation also brings major advantages for food retailers and wholesalers in the form of stable production volumes, reliable quality and a deeper understanding of the requirements of the target markets. This creates the best possible planning conditions in a globalised agricultural market with increasing challenges.
Our contribution to the SDGs
Through our close cooperation with producers, we specifically promote the following sustainable development goals:
SDG 4 – Quality Education
SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation
SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy
SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth
SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production
SDG 13 – Climate Action
SDG 15 – Life on Land
SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals

FRESH FRUIT FOR FRESH ENERGY
Global Fruit Point becomes the official partner of the HSV women’s first division soccer team
Global Fruit Point has been a partner of the HSV women’s team since September 2025. For many years, Global Fruit Point has been promoting various popular sports activities and often actively participates in events with its own team. The company is also committed to promoting top-class sport. A new highlight is the sponsorship agreement with the HSV women’s team, which includes the regular provision of fresh fruit for the players.
Anna Tegtmeier, Head of Partnership Management, Events & Hospitality at HSV: “We are delighted to have Global Fruit Point as a partner for the HSV women’s team, a company that focuses on quality and freshness – values that perfectly match the HSV women’s team’s requirements and will help us to start the coming season full of energy.”
Sven Heinsohn, co-managing director of Global Fruit Point: “A healthy diet is particularly important for top athletes. Global Fruit Point is therefore delighted to support the HSV women in the 1st division with fresh fruit so that they can stay in top form and continue to give their all in every game.”

WE LOVE SPORTS
Sporty. Fruity. Right in the middle.
At Global Fruit Point, we don’t just keep the vitamins flowing – we also work up a proper sweat, because sport is a true passion for us. Whether on bikes, in running shoes or competing together as a team, movement is part of our everyday life. Sport keeps us fit – and clears the mind for fresh ideas.
It’s no surprise, then, that we love getting involved in major sporting events such as the BEMER Cyclassics or the Hamburg Triathlon – both as participants and as fruit fairies: supplying athletes with crisp, fresh fruit to give them a natural energy boost.

But our commitment doesn’t end at the finish line. Supporting sports programs for children and young people is especially close to our hearts. Whether it’s local football clubs or inclusive golf projects for kids with physical or cognitive challenges, we deliberately support initiatives that empower the next generation and strengthen a sense of community. At the moment, our focus is on regional sports clubs in northern Germany.
We also make a clear statement in elite sports: for many years, we have been proudly supporting Germany’s top triathlete Anne Haug on her journey – with great respect and plenty of vitamin power.
What drives her is revealed in the following interview.

Anne Haug, triathlete
Backing elite performance
“If you want to drive a Ferrari, you can’t fill it up with cheap diesel,” says Anne Haug, whose career we have been following for years. We make sure that she always has plenty of fresh fruit at her disposal. Read the interview to find out what Anne Haug has to say about sports, her career and her goals.
Anne, how did you get into triathlon?
I tried lots of different sports as a child and quickly realized that I was particularly good at running. I couldn’t swim at first, but I really wanted to learn it, so I practiced until I could swim 1,500 meters without stopping. Then I did my first triathlon—and came third. I’ve been hooked ever since.
What fascinates you about triathlon?
The combination of three completely different disciplines – and the question: What is really possible, physically and mentally? I want to know what I can achieve through hard work and willpower. There’s no better stage for that than long-distance triathlon.
Have you ever pushed yourself beyond your limits?
Sure – and that’s exactly when injuries happen. But if you never test your limits, you’ll never reach your full potential. I’ve left no stone unturned in my career.
What was your greatest sporting moment?
The Olympics were an emotional highlight – the feeling of competing for your country is unique. But winning the Ironman Hawaii changed my life the most. And my home victory in Hamburg was also unforgettable.
How do you stay motivated day after day?
Competitive sports thrive on a certain level of dissatisfaction. You always want to get better—that’s what drives me. Training is part of my everyday life: three times a day, all year round. I only allow myself a week off after Hawaii.
And nutrition—how important is it to you?
Very important. Lots of fruit, vegetables, fish, meat, or whatever provides good energy. Lots of vitamins, varied, colorful, as natural as possible—that’s what the body needs. My motto: Anything that hasn’t seen the inside of a factory is basically healthy. So, variety is key — don’t rule anything out.
Your favorite fruit?
Definitely apples. I can easily eat four or five a day—they’re practical, delicious, and really good for the body.
What’s your tip for young athletes?
Do what you really enjoy. If you love something, you’ll stick with it. And that’s exactly what you need in sports: passion and perseverance. Sports should be fun.
